Mirror Maid
Original Functional Sculpture by Bobby Anderson, RVA246
Mirror Maid is always ready for a little reflection.
A tall, dancing figure stretches upward to hold a round adjustable mirror above her head. Her long legs, curling arms, and tiny glass marble face give the sculpture a playful sense of movement, like she has paused mid-dance just long enough to help you get ready.
Built from reclaimed metal, found objects, and glass, Mirror Maid is sculpture with a job to do. Place her on a vanity, dresser, jewelry table, or anywhere a small mirror comes in handy. The mirror tilts so the viewing angle can be adjusted.
Elegant, useful, and just a little theatrical.
