Calamity
Original Reclaimed Metal Sculpture by Bobby Anderson, RVA246
Calamity freezes one very bad workshop moment in time.
Three little robots are trying to repair a machine with plenty of confidence and very little planning. No helmets. No harnesses. No apparent supervision. One thing comes loose, another thing spins, and suddenly everybody is airborne.
Boom. Kaping. Zeh zeh zeh. Waahhh.
They’re fine.
Probably.
Built from reclaimed metal, found objects, and glass marbles, Calamity is a compact narrative sculpture about invention, teamwork, bad decisions, and learning the hard way.

What Could Go Wrong?
Calamity is built around motion. One bot is up high, one is thrown sideways, and one is down in the wreckage while gears, coils, rods, and loose mechanical parts seem to continue the explosion around them.
It is a sculpture about trying things, breaking things, and figuring things out anyway.
Live and learn.
There is only one Calamity.
