Every object I use has already proven its worth. Machine parts, vintage lighting, reclaimed steel, and forgotten objects were all designed to solve real problems and built to last. I bring those materials together to create something new that serves with even greater purpose.

My work is guided by three simple ideas: form, function, and fun. Every piece should be beautifully made, genuinely useful, and capable of bringing a little more joy into everyday life. Whether it lights a room, organizes a desk, starts a conversation, or simply makes someone smile, I want my work to become part of the life happening around it.

Craftsmanship builds the work. Imagination brings it to life.

I don't simply assemble reclaimed materials. I create characters people choose to live with. Through intuition, problem-solving, and a willingness to see possibilities where others see ordinary parts, individual pieces come together to form something with personality, purpose, and presence. The work is built to last, but it isn't truly complete until someone begins interacting with it.

Someone points to a work and asks, "You call him Sluggo?"

"Yep. That's his name."

I turn his head, pose an arm, and give him a high five.

Suddenly everyone in the room is smiling.

No one is looking at reclaimed steel anymore. They're looking at a character. They're imagining a personality, a story, and a purpose. That's the moment I'm trying to create.

I believe art can do more than decorate a space. It can invite interaction, reward curiosity, spark conversations, and become part of people's everyday lives. My hope is that collectors discover new details over time, invent stories, and build their own relationship with each piece. The materials may have come from many different places, but together they become something entirely new: original works with character, purpose, and lasting presence.

When someone forgets they're looking at reclaimed materials and starts interacting with a character, I know the work is finished.
